School 2002, (triptych)
Oil on gesso panel
610mm × 610mm.

The triptych painting School is exploring the idea of figures placed in an architectural context and looking at the activities that may take place within the walls of a school.

Architecture divides space and controls movement. Wall provides the possibility of public and private. The external walls of a school are the definitive partition. It blocks the gaze and if removed the activities are unveiled side by side.
